Pisgah was a once a year favorite for us for years. It offered a close venue for caves (lava tubes) and was our favorite way to ring in the new year. This slide show only scratches the surface of the area giving you images from the Cat/QQ tube system.

Our guide back then was Russ Harter. He had done his thesis on the formation of the tubes in the area and being a caver had remained friends with the owner of the land to provide access during his trips. The area is now closed to cavers as it is a mining operation.
